SuperWire: modular light, radical design.

Flos is Design laureate of the FORMÆ 2025 Award.

With SuperWire, FormaFantasma inaugurates a new generation of LED lighting fixtures. Designed by the FormaFantasma studio, the collection stands out for its refined formal language and discreet yet essential technical innovation: a very fine glass tube containing a LED filament with polarity connections at each end, custom-designed to diffuse warm, uniform light along its entire length.

This easily replaceable light strip slides into the centre of a flat hexagonal glass module, held in place by polished aluminium plates and visible screws. The deliberately industrial design emphasises technical transparency: nothing is hidden, everything is designed to evolve, assemble and last.

Available as a table lamp, floor lamp and pendant light, SuperWire evokes hybrid objects, somewhere between a technical tool and a graphic presence. The soft, diffused light inhabits the space without overwhelming it. Each module becomes a building block, a unit that can be combined according to needs and contexts.

Rather than an iconic object, FormaFantasma has created a flexible and legible system. A tool for architects, scenographers, or simply for those who think of light as a material to be composed. •
